'Jancett Group Positivity Challenge'
Why increase your optimism?
Optimism is one of most important emotional intelligence skills that you can develop. Being optimistic is not about being jolly, or seeing the world through rose-tinted spectacles, rather, it is about being open to possibility, and believing that there is a solution, even when you don't know what it is.
Our brains are primed for survival, leading us to have a negative bias, tuning into anything that may be a potential threat. Consequently, our instinctive responses are linked to our short term protection and 'survival' instead of our long term objectives and 'thriving'.
Being more optimistic will help you to:
- Build better relationships;
- Collaborate more effectively; and
- Be more innovative.
As a result you will improve your productivity, health & well-being and performance. And the best bit - you will enjoy the journey!
Note: To create a new habit it is recommended to repeat an action consistently for at least 21 days
